Leadership elections were held on Saturday, November 15th and Kristi was elected Assistant Majority Leader for the House Republicans. Congratulations and more details will follow…

We went door to door in Clark the other day and enjoyed the fall weather. We always have to have a little fun at the end of a long day of knocking on doors so we again had a little contest. This one involved a race that ended with each team having to finish at the pickup, jump up and down and shout “Vote Noem or go home” five times, spin around 3 times and then drop to the ground. This is the photo of the group at that point….

Little did we know that our antics were disturbing a little boy who was watching…(I did apologize later when I found out about it)….Crazy teenagers!

Anyways, here is a photo of all the help we had, well most of the help. Since we had enjoyed pizza at the Playhouse before we started, we finished with smoothies at the local coffee shop. Thank you to all of the area Clark residents we visited with that day. We always love to go to go Clark and see all our friends.

This group looks a little cold as we started, but they soon warmed up….we even finished with a contest of who could get the most yard signs put up on the last block. It was a fun day that finished up with a great meal at the Ship’s Inn.castlewood-campaigners.jpg

Booker, age 6, is the official “sign guy” when we are on our treks around area towns going door to door. His success ratio is pretty good too as it seems no one can say no to him.

Sunday night, Hamlin County will hold their Lincoln Day Dinner with Secretary of State Chris Nelson as the featured speaker. If you would like tickets, just give me a call or email. It is always a fun night with good food and company.

Here is the second round….We are going to start going door to door this weekend, if weather permits. If interested, give me a call or email!

Thought you might be interested in a preview of an ad I will run in a few small hometown papers next week. I realize that posting it here will leave it open to criticism and comments from all who happen across it, however I think my skin is tough enough to take it. Let’s just say that sometimes the experts aren’t always the most effective….The plan is to run a variety of ads throughout the remains days that will be more informational and hard hitting at times, but wanted to start out personable and introductory. Go ahead…let me have it.

The Watertown Victory Office held an open house last night that was well attended. I stopped by around 4:30 and had the opportunity to visit with several candidates, volunteers, and interested citizens. In the photo above is Judy Trzynka (Codington County Chairwoman), myself, Art Fryslie (Senate candidate in District 6), and Mark Rovold, who is the new Victory office director.

Here is the Solum family, enjoying a good laugh.

And here is Mark….obviously begging his wife LaDonna for her assistance in the upcoming months. I had a nice visit with the young man to the right…(yes, I’ve forgotten his name..I think…umm, Clay?)…anyways, he is one of the new students at Lake Area Tech participating in the Fire Medic program that just started this fall. He had lots of excellent feedback on the program and was impressed with the level of medical training that was required for completion of the course. He lives near Aberdeen, but is enjoying the Watertown area as he receives his education. ….as for me….I’m seriously thinking about taking one of those courses on remembering people’s names…

It was a great time to gather with friends and celebrate the campaign season. It sounds like this weekend is when the big push is going to start for putting up signs and getting advertising going. If you’d like a Noem sign on your land or yard….just give me a call!

Here are the girls with their 4-H heifers. Kennedy’s is Daisy and Kassidy’s is named Abigail. This was their first year showing cattle and really enjoyed the experience. Kennedy received a purple ribbon in showmanship and Daisy received a blue and Abigail a red. Both calves and kids were well behaved in the show ring!
